Know which fastener suppliers are slipping and which are creeping up on price

Fasteners are thousands of small SKUs from mills, importers and master distributors. TraxSail keeps after the open POs and watches the price on every line against that supplier's history.

Where the PO process breaks for fastener distributors

The supplier side, not the sales side.

Mill and import delays

Domestic mill schedules and import shipments can both slip, and the update often arrives late or not at all.

Price creep

Small increases across many SKUs add up and are easy to miss when you place dozens of POs a week.

Huge SKU counts

Tracking which of hundreds of open lines are confirmed is a full-time job in a spreadsheet.

Customers on the line

Manufacturing customers plan production around your delivery date.

What TraxSail does about it

Price increase detection

Each new PO price is checked against that supplier's history for the item, so creep gets noticed.

Supplier follow-up that escalates

TraxSail drafts follow-ups that get firmer as a ship date nears and passes. You approve each one by default, or turn on auto-send per supplier.

Replies read for you

When a supplier answers, the reply is parsed and the PO is marked confirmed or delayed, with the new date.

A to F supplier grade

Every supplier gets a reliability score and a letter grade with the reason in plain words. If a grade drops overnight, you get an email.

Reorder suggestions and one-click POs

Once an item has 3 or more orders, TraxSail suggests when to reorder. Late suppliers push the suggestion earlier. One click builds the PO.

QuickBooks Online, read-only

POs import from QuickBooks, and bills are checked against the PO price. Increases of 3% or more are noted.

Illustrative example, not a real customer

A fastener distributor buying from importers and a domestic mill

Imagine a distributor whose hex cap screw supplier raises the unit price a little on each order. TraxSail compares each new PO price with that supplier's past prices for the item and flags the increase. With QuickBooks Online connected, the bill is also checked against the PO, and a 3% or larger jump is noted. Meanwhile the importer's late container shows as delayed after the AI reads their reply.

This scenario is made up to show how the features fit together. It is not a customer story and the details are not measured results.

Questions fastener distributors ask

How does price increase detection work?

Each PO line is compared with the same supplier's past prices for that item. With QuickBooks Online connected, bills are checked against the PO price and increases of 3% or more are noted.

Can it read EDI from my suppliers?

The AI import reads EDI files along with CSV, TXT, XML and PDF.

Will my suppliers know it is automated?

Follow-ups go out as plain emails you approve first by default. You choose the tone and can edit any draft.

Put your open POs on autopilot, with you approving

Import a PO export, approve the first follow-ups, and see every supplier graded. Starter is $79 a month for 15 suppliers. Growth is $189 a month for 40.
